The Langobards had conducted raids into Western Roman territory, looting and pillaging the wealthy estates. However, two prominent relatives of the Emperor were killed and thus this war started.
The Langobards gathered the feared Nordic warriors of the North and the Alamans to their capital. It came under siege that same day. Will the Langobardic allies hold out? Or will Rome have her vengeance…..
